The title page contains the statement "Book Club Distribution of Beginner Book Edition distributed by Grolier Enterprises, Ind. A ½" chip to the spine, toward the lower spine end.
A 2" tear with a smaller chip to the upper, rear edge. The dust jacket has small chips to the corners and spine ends. Former owner bookplate to the front pastedown as well as a small name. Chips, wear to the spine ends and corners. Next to the second autograph he added, " (double autographs) ". These are his early signatures and each is dated in 19. To the first blank it is signed twice by Seuss. I am certain the book and jacket are married. The lower, rear flap mentions the upcoming 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins which was of course was published in 1938.
In a second issue (the boys pants are blue ) dust jacket with the price of $1.25 to the lower, front flap.
